This is what is known as a cross bore. Some times it can be a gas line. We got lucky that it was a fiber internet line. In todays world we see this a lot as everything is going under ground. It`s just one of the dangers of cleaning a sewer line as you never know why they are clogged.

We got lucky to not blow anything up doing this sewer cleaning as there was a gas line cross bored in the line. We saw the yellow with our sewer inspection camera and dug it up to make sure.

This sewer was dug about 12 inches deeper then it needed to be and caused it to settle and break off at the cleanout.
